About Us

Our Mission:

  • To make quality art accessible to buyers at affordable prices.
  • To educate people on art terminology, the art market, the benefits of buying quality fine art, and the opportunity for investment grade art.
All of our fine art is either original art or limited edition prints. Each piece is signed, numbered (in the case of a limited edition), and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Please feel free to ask us any questions you have prior to your purchase. We want you to be informed about what you are buying and to be happy with the product and service you receive.

Our History:

Ed Moise's interest in the art market began with a Salvador Dali woodcut he purchased at an art auction in March 2006. As he continued to build his personal collection, Moise learned the hard way about the business of buying and selling art. Seeking to develop a virtual outlet for his art, Moise founded ALAMO CITY FINE ART in 2007 as a way to combine the art world with emerging technology to make quality art accessible to buyers at affordable prices. With ALAMO CITY FINE ART, Moise, an educator by trade, also hopes to teach buyers what they need to know about the art market, and to show them that no matter what their budget is, they can still find and invest in quality art at reasonable prices.

"Buying art can be an excellent investment. As in any investment, nothing is a sure thing. Those who do succeed in investing in art have done so by giving themselves the best opportunity to have their investment increase in value. The example I often give is an experience I had at a frame shop.
A lady came in to get an original water color framed that she bought from a local artist. At some point she exclaimed to the owner, 'I got this because I have always heard originals are better to have than prints.'
I thought to myself, I wonder if she would trade a limited edition Picasso print for one hundred of those local artist water colors.
If she bought that piece of art because she loves it and gets something from it, then the value is priceless. If she bought it because she thought of it as a monetary investment, she will most likely be disappointed. If you are going to spend your money, why not spend it on art that can give you daily enjoyment, yet have the most potential for increasing in value or at least not decreasing in value?"
-Ed Moise, Owner
